Dear Antichrisis-Devotees!

My life saw some profound changes in the past few months,
hence the serious lack of updates of this website.

The story so far: We've started with the studio sessions to our new album on March 16th at Bluehouse Studio in Meerane, where I've been working on 11 brand new tracks with our dearest producer and notorious guitarist, Jens, and the mighty Kugator on drums.
Unfortunately we had to cancel these recording sessions after a fortnight because - out of the blue - Dragonfly left me and therefore Antichrisis as well!

Those of you familiar with my lyrics and the development of Antichrisis will easily understand how painful this breakup felt to me: All of a sudden everything I ever believed in vanished like a dream in the night!

I am grateful for the years Dragonfly and me were allowed to spend together, but it was sad to see that something that once started with so much fortrightness and frankness turned out so dishonourably and undignified in the end: We would have deserved something better than this! Maybe we were just soulmates for a certain time, or maybe what seemed like soulmateship to us was nothing more than a beautiful illusion. We've lived a dream that lastet 4 1/2 years, but the first and only probation of a marriage that was once made in heaven ended in hell...

So this is a last "Thank You" to Dragonfly for the years we shared as well as for her contribution to Antichrisis: She was the inspiration and the voice of "Perfume", and she also created our website in first place.

Our website will now be taken care of by Jens, and I'm sure he'll do a great job due to his commitment and expertise. From now on he's not only producer, guitarist and kind spirit, but also our webmaster: Hope there are still enough odd jobs left in Antichrisis for myself...

My life has changed a lot since April: I had to stay for 6 weeks in a mental asylum, as this breakup had a serious psychosomatic impact on me - my state of health simply was a complete mess for quite some time.

I've decided to leave my former hometown Bonn for Nuremberg to start a new life there: Sometime's it's better to leave the past behind.

But I'm really looking forward to Nuremberg: I don't know much about this town yet, but I hope to find a new home there quite soon and to become part of its music-scene, which is supposed to be rather lively. I'll be looking for fellow musicians to start a side-project apart from Antichrisis, because I'm really keen on playing live again as soon as possible.

Besides, there are also some really good news to announce: After some pretty tenacious negotiations with our former label Napalm Records (we're now signed to Bluehouse Productions) which we wouldn't have brought to such a successful ending without Näx and his strength to endure (there's nothing like having your personal solicitor in the band - highly recommendable!), we've regained the publishing rights for both "A Legacy of Love" and "Perfume"! This means that we're working fervently on the reissue of "A Legacy of Love", as this album got out of stock a long time ago and is nowadays only available in second hand-stores or via Ebay.

And our new label won't just come up with a simple reissue of "A Legacy of Love": The new edition of this album will be completely remixed and remastered - and it'll contain an additional track as well (and maybe even more surprises). If there'll also be a similiar reissue of "Perfume" I cannot say: It still hurts too much when I think of this album that was once meant to be a statement of everlasting love!; but now too many broken promises are connected with otherwise beautiful songs like "Wasteland" or "Like the Stars". Anyway, time is said to be a great healer, and maybe one day I'll be able to find a less bitter and more ingenuous approach to this album - and that'll be the day when its reissue might be taken into consideration.

As soon as I've settled down in Nuremberg we'll continue to work on the new Antichrisis-album, which - because of aforementioned incidents - will be titled "A Legacy of Love Part 2".

Hopefully we'll find a new female vocalist for Antichrisis quite soon in order to work at the vocal arrangements earliest possible!

It'll still take some time before I'll be connected to the internet again. Emails sent to us after March 15th couldn't be answered yet, but I'm working on it! Please be patient as I'm the only one to answer your enquiries at the moment, but be assured that nothing's lost - it'll just take some time.

I'd like to conclude with a bvery big "Thank You" to all my friends and those people out there who offered me their help and support during the last few months: This has been the hardest time of my life so far, but your friendship and encouragement helped me to find strength and confidence again when I needed it most: I'll never forget what you have done for me!

Dearest devotees,

due to changes in our lifes the ANTICHRISIS website won't be updated for some time:
Keep checking this site for news every once a while as well as the BLUE HOUSE STUDIO website!

Due to public request I've searched the archives for early Antichrisis stuff that just hardly or even never saw the light of the day. The following songs are previously unreleased and even I seem to have forgotten about them.
There are no female vocals to be found as I recorded them just on my own as blueprints for future Antichrisis-tracks, but they never made it on any official release.
Looking back from today, this early material does sound pretty gloomy and sinister and isnÔt at all representative for the present state of Antichrisis' muscial development, but well: This is how it all started! And donÔt forget: ItÔs just demo-stuff, not some super-modern HiFi-state-of-the-art-stereophonic-suround-production: Some of these tracks were recorded on a no longer existing 4-track-tape-recorder or even worse equipment!
Welcome to part three of the comprehensive Antichrisis retrospective - We hope you enjoy it!
This way please...

Concerning live gigs: We're sorry but we won't do any in the near future: We've never been a proper band insofar as the core of Antichrisis consisted of just three persons, which ain't simply enough to perform the music of Antichrisis on stage. Though we did some live-performances in the past involving guest musicians and sequencers, it wasn't really that satisfying for us. Besides, as there are going to be some vast changes as well in the line-up and the marketing of the band, we'll have to concentrate on finishing the recording sessions to our new album this year - and when this forthcoming album will be ready for release (which will take quite some time as it's going to be a very large production!), we'll decide if we're going on tour with a completely new line-up. If that'll be the case, we'll give you the details on this website and via our Newsletter!

Welcome to part two of our Antichrisis retrospective! This time you'll find all the songs of side b of the no longer available demo "Missa Depositum Custodi" - we hope you enjoy it! This way please...

Expect some more rare stuff from ANTICHRISIS on March 2nd!

Due to public request we‘ve searched the archives for all the early Antichrisis stuff that just hardly or even never saw the light of the day. Though the following songs were released in 1995 on the first official Antichrisis-demo "Missa Depositum Custodi“, they were never available to a greater audience as this demo was limited to an edition of 500 copies and was never re-released since then.

Looking back from today, this early material does sound pretty gloomy and sinister and isn‘t at all representative for the present state of our muscial development, but, well: this is how it all started! And don‘t forget: It‘s just demo-stuff, not some super-modern HiFi-state-of-the-art-stereophonic-suround-production: Some of these tracks were recorded on an no longer existing 4-track-tape-recorder in my bedroom...

As for those of you who crave for some more stuff of our recent pre-production: We‘ll continue to release more new tracks within the next months, but for now we'll start with 4 tracks that were to be found on side one of "Missa Depositum Custodi" (remember that we're talking about the pre-CD-era, when tapes and records still had two sides) - Side B will follow January 19th.

Find out more about the songs in the Download-Area!

It's been a bit quiet for some time due to Sid and Dragonfly's removal, but now we're back on the track with a very special Xmas present to all our fans out there: You should keep an eye on the download area of our website as you'll find a big surprise there on the 25th of December. And as it is a very large present, it'll come in 3 partitions durin the next months.
So you better watch out, cause something exciting is coming to town on the 25th!
Best wishes and a very happy Yuletide!

As we've been moving and have been without any internet connection for quite a while we need to ask for another little bit of pacience depending the next newsletter...! I'll do my best to work on it before those addictive christmas fairs will start! Cheers Dragonfly

22-09-2025

Sorry for not providing any news for such a long time, due to Dragonfly and me being occupied with finding a new dwelling, as our recent hovel has become almost untolerable noisy during the last months: How we hate those neighbours with their ultramodern Sensuround-3rd-World-War-Blast-Yer-Fucking-Head-Off-Megasound-HiFiTerror-Systems who - as if things were not bad enough - obviously developed an awful musical addiction to Britney Spears and Rammstein!

Well, we've been successful and got ourselves a lovely new (and quiet!) tenement where we'll be moving in next month, and those of you prematurely assuming Antichrisis might have called it a day in the meantime have gone utterly wrong: The preproduction of the instrumental tracks to our new album is almost finished (just one song left to go), so we can concentrate on completing lyrics and working on vocal arrangements now. In addition to this, we agreed upon starting with studio session in February 2003 with Jens, our highly esteemed most evil producer of all times. Musicians are booked, everyone's in a good mood and highly motivated, hence we're really looking forward to the forthcoming studio sessions to our 4th album.

But don't expect its release too soon as for the first time in our breathtaking musical career (beware of ironic particles flying around!) our studio time is unlimited. This means that we'll be working on this album as long as it takes to satisfly us completely or until Jens blows his fuse and throws us out! Perhaps it might take us a year or even a bit more until everything's ready (or everybody involved in this project collapsed with a nervous breakdown). To be honest: We do feel a bit like the Beatles before they recoreded "Sgt. Pepper's"...

Anyway: To give you an impression of what our new stuff will sound like, we thought it might be a nice idea to put some extracts of the new songs on our website. Please reconsider that these are just playbacks, i. e. there are no vocals in it yet. You'll find a new sound clip each month, starting with an excerpt of "The Way": This track is about our love for Cornwall and it's breathtaking landscape; a rather danceable song much in the vein of some of the stuff we did on "Perfume", with much more orchestral background though.

Hope you enjoy this little preview: Come back next month for more!

As "Yahoo" is too much into advertisements these days I decided to start a new Newsletter which I will be hosting myself - without those nasty ads! If you have already subscribed expect a couple of E-Mails quite soon :-) if you want to join the Newsletter simply send an E-Mail to [email protected] !

As you haven't heard a lot from us during the last months you might guess what we've been up to: YESSS - we're into songwriting and busily preparing tracks for our new album. We may present some selected songs of our pre-production but this will take another while as there're still missing some evident parts (like vocals ;-)). We're working on it!

Naex, our piper, was pretty busy with passing all his exams in 2001: Now he's a fully qualified attorney at law, so beware all of you trying to get us into trouble (with a very warm "That goes for you guys as well!" to our former record company!). He's also invested a tremendous amount of money in a new set of uilleann pipes that'll surely sound just amazing after he's done the usual refurbishing job (you can always trust a piper to dissect his newly purchased pipes-set immediately - it's a bit like Tim Taylor of "Tool Time" trying to provide more power to every bloody gadget he can lay his hands on; but hopefully more successful in Naex' case!), and I assume he'll blow the house down with this bagpipe on the next Antichrisis release!

And while mentioning future releases: As some of you might have guessed we've carried out our contract with Napalm Records and after some minor legal differences due to their most peculiar custom of not providing proper accountings, we've been offered a splendid deal by our favourite evil-producer Jens, which we most gladly accepted. And although Jens is very keen on starting new recording sessions as soon as possible, we'd like to invest as much time and effort as appropriate in the pre-production, so it'll be more likely that actual recording sessions for the new Antichrisis-album will take place by the end of 2002 or the beginning of 2003, especially as Naex has some very important private business to look after within the next few months that'll keep him out and about for a while...

Me and Dragonfly had wonderful holidays in Cornwall this summer; we've met lots of amazing people, Dragonfly got herself a wonderful new Djembe and being in our favourite landscape again inspired me to some great new songs that I'm momentarily working out for recording purposes - and if you should ever go to Cornwall, don't forget to visit the Museum of Witchcraft in Boscastle: It's a mindblowing experience (as our friend Rob "Proper Job" Lloyd would have put it) that'll ask for a decent pint at the famous "Napoleon Inn" afterwards (so much for justified masked advertising - and I haven't even mentioned Rob's Leather Shop or Mike's reliable services at the Bottreaux Garage yet!).

But enough of that: We promise that we'll release some of the results of the ongoing pre-production on our website as soon as we're satisfied with the outcome, so you can check out yourself what the new Antichrisis-album will sound like.

By the way: If you'd like to see some new features presented on our webiste that we haven't been thinking of til now, just contact our webmistress Dragonfly ([email protected]) and she'll see what she can do: We're always trying to keep www.antichrisis.de as informative and interesting as possible: Some bloke recently suggested a counselling-section like "Ask Dr. Mondschatten", as Antichrisis strangely enough seems to attract a vast bunch of people asking for advice on relationship-problems, which made us wonder if those problems might possibly arise from listening to Antichrisis in the first place...

That's all so far: Thanks for visiting our website and hope to see you again quite soon on www.antichrisis.de.
